One of Project eCycle's goals is to bring technology to children worldwide. Our first international targeted area is Asia, in particular the less developed regions of China. Currently we have our Southeast Asia Liaison, Johnson Cheung, deployed looking to connect our services with the government from the Republic of China and charitable organizations for those regions in need.

A Pentium 2 and Pentium 3 computer is generally considered by Americans as "old" or "obsolete" technology. The majority of China's population have never used a computer. In the rare case that they have used a computer they are usually ancient x86 systems are typically used. Our goal for the Summer of '08 is to seek out schools and address their technological need.

Johnson and our Liaison, Don went to China in August looking to build a business relationship with solar panel companies. The business plan was to collect silicon wafer waste from semiconductor companies and exchange them for solar panels. In doing so, not only do we keep e-waste out of landfills, but turn it around to make renewable energy in solar panels.
